Vardo Orders
Vardo's ordering channel for suppliers
Restaurants and businesses that work with Vardo send purchase orders to their suppliers through us: on WhatsApp from the Vardo Orders number, and by email from a Vardo address. The order is sent on behalf of the business, and Vardo delivers it.
How to recognize our orders
Every order opens with the name of the business that placed it, and lists the items, quantities, branch address and requested delivery date.
How to start receiving orders on WhatsApp
The business sends you a link with a ready message. Send it, and from then on orders from that business arrive from Vardo Orders. Without that permission we will not message you on WhatsApp.
How to reply
On WhatsApp: tap "Confirm order" or "Problem with order", or write a message. It goes to the business that placed the order, and to no other business. By email: simply reply to the email.
How to stop
Tap "Stop messages" or send the word "STOP". Businesses will then send you orders another way. You can come back at any time through a new link from the business.
Your information
- What we keep: the supplier's name, phone number and email address as entered by the business, the content of the orders, your replies (including button taps and files), and a record of the permission you gave.
- Why: to deliver the orders to you, to show the ordering business the replies and status of its own order, and to honor requests to stop. Not for marketing, and never sold.
- Who sees it: your reply is shown only to the business whose order it concerns, not to other businesses you work with. Messages pass through WhatsApp (Meta) and Twilio SendGrid, acting on our behalf.
- How long: messages are kept with the order, and their text is redacted 24 months after the order was received. Raw copies of incoming emails are deleted after 90 days. The record of your permission is kept for 3 years after it is withdrawn, as proof it was given.
