1. General

The site operator respects the privacy of its users and publishes this policy to explain, in plain language, what information is collected through the site, the purposes it is used for, who it is disclosed to, how it is kept, and how to contact us about privacy rights.

The site is a company website that includes, among other things, information about the platform and the businesses that advertise on it, a contact form, and job pages where candidates can submit their details and apply for positions published on the site.

There is no legal obligation to provide personal information through the site. However, without the details required in the contact form or the application form, we cannot handle the enquiry or pass the application on to the business that published the position.

2. What is collected and why

The following types of information are collected and processed:

Details submitted through the contact form

When you contact us through the form on the site we collect your name, the name of your business or organisation, your email address and the content of your enquiry, together with any further information you choose to include in it.

This information is used to receive the enquiry, contact you, respond, handle the request or question, manage the relationship with you, document how the enquiry was handled, and protect the site operator's rights.

Information submitted with a job application

The job pages on the site carry positions published by different businesses. When an application is submitted we collect the details the publishing business chose to ask for, along with the CV, documents and any further information the candidate provides.

The information the candidate provides is stored on the site and made available to the business that published the position, so that it can review the application, contact the candidate and manage the hiring process.

Candidates are asked to provide only information relevant to the position and to avoid including anything that is not needed for the application or the hiring process.

Technical information, usage data and cookies

Using the site generates technical and usage data, including IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, visit times, pages viewed, referral source, actions taken on the site, online identifiers, performance data, cookies and similar technologies.

This information is used to operate the site properly, secure it, find faults, measure usage, analyse performance, improve content and user experience, and measure the effectiveness of campaigns, advertising and marketing.

3. Candidates and the businesses that publish positions

Access to candidate information

Application details are stored on the site, and the business that published the position is given access to the information submitted for it. The business uses that information to assess the candidate's fit, make contact, manage the hiring process and decide on the application.

A business that receives access to a candidate's information is responsible for how it uses and keeps that information once received, in accordance with the law and with the privacy policy that applies to its own activity. As for information collected through an application, the site operator processes and stores it in order to run the application system and give access to the publishing business. The site operator does not determine how that business runs its hiring process or the decisions it makes about a candidate.

Information provided by the candidate

The candidate is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided with an application. Where a CV or attached documents include information about third parties, the candidate must make sure they are entitled to pass that information on for the purposes of the hiring process.

4. Cookies, analytics and marketing tools

The site uses cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure itself, measure usage, analyse user activity, improve its services, measure campaign performance, and for advertising and marketing.

There are three main categories of cookies:

Essential cookies

Cookies required for the site to work properly and securely, including loading pages, keeping basic settings, information security, preventing misuse, and operating functions the site needs. Without them, some services and functions will not work correctly.

Analytics and measurement cookies

Cookies and technologies used to collect statistics and usage data, analyse how the site is used, measure traffic and performance, identify faults, understand user behaviour and improve the site and its services. For this the site uses, among others, tools from Google, including Google Analytics.

Marketing and advertising cookies

Cookies and technologies used to measure conversions and campaign performance, build audiences, tailor advertising, show relevant ads and measure the effectiveness of marketing activity. For this the site uses, among others, Google services such as Google Ads, Meta tools such as the Meta Pixel, and TikTok tools such as the TikTok Pixel.

These tools collect and process technical and usage data, including IP address, browser and device type, online identifiers, pages viewed, actions taken on the site, usage times, and data about interaction with ads and campaigns.

Use of Google, Meta and TikTok services and tools is also subject to those providers' own terms of service and privacy policies.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Where the site offers a cookie consent mechanism, you can use it to manage your preferences for non-essential cookies. Blocking analytics or marketing cookies affects the site's ability to measure, tailor advertising and analyse activity, but as a rule will not prevent you from browsing the site.

5. Disclosure to third parties

The site operator discloses information to third parties only where this is needed for the purposes set out in this policy: operating the site, handling enquiries, managing applications, hosting and infrastructure, information security, analytics and marketing, protecting rights, or complying with the law.

Businesses that publish positions

Information a candidate submits with an application is available to the business that published that position. The business receives it in order to review the application and manage its hiring process. Submitting an application constitutes a request to pass the application details on to the publishing business for that purpose.

Technology, hosting and operations providers

Information is accessible to providers of hosting, servers, cloud services, maintenance, information security, management systems, email services and other technology providers, as needed to operate, maintain and secure the site and to handle enquiries and applications.

Analytics, advertising and marketing providers

Technical and usage data is passed to and processed through Google, Meta and TikTok services for analytics, performance measurement, conversion measurement, audience management, advertising and marketing, in accordance with those services' settings and privacy policies.

Advisers, authorities and competent bodies

The site operator may disclose information to legal, accounting, technological or other professional advisers, and to competent authorities, courts or other bodies, where disclosure is required by law, a court order or a lawful demand, or is needed to protect rights, resolve a dispute, handle a complaint or address an information-security incident.

6. Retention

Information is kept for as long as it is needed for the purposes it was collected for, including handling enquiries, managing applications, giving access to publishing businesses, information security, documenting activity, resolving disputes, protecting rights and complying with the law.

Information collected through the site is stored and processed on servers and systems located in Israel, the European Union and/or the United States, depending on the service providers, infrastructure and systems the site operator uses.

Where personal information is transferred, stored or processed outside Israel, the transfer and processing are carried out in accordance with applicable law, including the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, the Protection of Privacy Regulations (Transfer of Information to Databases Abroad), 5761-2001, and any other relevant law.

Candidate information is kept on the site in order to manage and complete the application process and give access to the relevant business, and thereafter as needed for documentation, information security, protection of rights and legal requirements. A business that received access sets its own retention period for the information it holds, in line with its hiring needs and the law that applies to it.

7. Information security

The site operator takes reasonable and accepted security measures to protect the information, restrict access, keep it confidential, prevent unauthorised use and reduce the risk of loss, alteration, exposure or unauthorised access.

Absolute immunity from intrusion, malfunction, unauthorised use, data loss or a security incident cannot be guaranteed. If you suspect a security incident or unauthorised use of information, you can contact the site operator using the details at the top of this document.

8. Your rights under the Protection of Privacy Law

Under the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, any person is entitled to inspect, personally or through a duly authorised representative, information about themselves held in a database, in accordance with the law.

A person who has inspected information about themselves and found it to be incorrect, incomplete, unclear or out of date may request that it be corrected or deleted, in accordance with the law.

Requests to exercise these rights should be sent to the contact details at the top of this document. To handle a request we will ask for details that allow us to identify you and locate the relevant information.

Where a request concerns information about a candidate that is already available to the business that published the position, handling it may also involve referring you to that business or coordinating with it, depending on its role in relation to the information and on the law.

For privacy requests, including access, correction and deletion: info@vardo.ai

10. Changes to this policy

The site operator may update this policy from time to time, among other reasons because of changes to the site, the services, the way information is collected and processed, the service providers, the analytics and marketing tools, the security measures, or the law.

Where a material change is made, a suitable notice will be published on the site or given in another reasonable way, depending on the circumstances and on the law.
